Quality Moves Strengthen Team

COBA’s ever-evolving Quality Assurance team has recently welcomed some new members to the department. Tomas Vajcovec from Slovakia is the newest member, joining COBA as a Quality Engineer. Tomas brings with him many skills and his joining will further strengthen the well-developed ties with COBA Automotive and core customers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Another change to the team structure is the introduction of a new role of Advanced Product Quality Project Engineer (APQP) which has been filled through the promotion of Julian Oldham. Julian has a wealth of quality assurance experience and a comprehensive understanding of COBA and its customer expectations. The creation of this role has been to introduce new technical products following known APQP disciplines.

Meanwhile, Kristen Collyer has also joined the QA Department as a Quality Engineer transferring from COBA’s Extrusion Manufacturing area. With six years’ experience of COBA’s production processes, Kristen is well placed to link information and knowledge between manufacturing and quality to meet and improve COBA’s excellent level of customer service.

These changes combined have also released Dave Hitchman to focus as a Technical Specifications and Materials Engineer. Dave is now free to utilize his applied physics and chemistry background which is a real asset to this role in terms of linking properties and characteristics of materials to specifications, as well as ensuring all relevant testing procedures for the benefit of COBA and its clients.
