The COBA Family Fun Day earlier this month at our Fleckney headquarters was certainly an event to remember. We were fortunate to have been blessed with good weather (thank goodness because rain had been in the forecast!) which helped us make the most of the many activities that had been laid on.
Just under 250 adults and around 180 children attended the day so a big thank you to everyone who came along with their families. You helped us raise £837.43 for Cancer Research, which is amazing. Fundraising activities included donation boxes, proceeds from the café, coffee and cake (supported by cake donations from Fiona Cairns and Amanda Fisher), children’s t-shirt sales and last but certainly not least, ‘The Boss in Stocks’ activity. For some reason, ‘The Boss in Stocks’ proved hugely popular!
There was so much to see and do at our Fun Day. We had a huge range of activities, from bungee runs, bouncy castles, inflatable horse racing and slides, to go karts, rodeo, Wild West shootouts, circus skills, pony rides and a giant climbing wall … to mention but a few activities. We also welcomed a demo by the Air Cadets and had a flight simulator to support the theme.
Relatives seemed to appreciate the factory tours – the personalised key rings made in 2nd op were well received.
There were definitely smiles all round as the photographs prove.
