Changes to Purchasing

COBA has made changes to the roles of two key individuals in its Purchasing Department. Fanny Charlet takes over the reins as Senior Buyer, while Mick Kempster who has been with COBA for some 27 years, becomes Supply Chain Co-ordinator.

Fanny is responsible for all commercial aspects of supply to COBA encompassing pricing, negotiating terms and contractual agreements as well as sourcing new suppliers and materials to assist the Sales Team in the development of new products. Fanny says, “Having worked at COBA for the last 10 years, I greatly value the partnership we have established with our extensive supplier base. I look forward to further developing these partnerships and improving, where possible, the quality and cost of the strategic commodities sourced for the company.”

In his role as Supply Chain Co-ordinator, Mick Kempster is responsible for all procurement, logistical and technical aspects of serial items ensuring on time and in full deliveries. Calculating KPI results and implementing resulting actions, as well as monitoring supplier performance through the vendor rating system, also fall under the umbrella of Mick’s key duties.

“Having been with COBA for some considerable time, I have found the role to be ever evolving. I believe these responsibilities will utilize individual strengths and ensure the performance of the department is to the highest level,” explains Mick.
