COBA pulled out all the stops to support Breast Cancer Campaign’s national Wear it Pink Day last Friday (28 October).
To help be PART OF THE CURE and to support the many thousands of people affected by breast cancer (that is 1 in 8 women in the UK) our COBA colleagues each donated £2 to Wear it Pink for the day and raised £95.44 for the Breast Cancer Campaign.
And, as our photo shows, it wasn’t just the girls that were sporting pink! Our COBA guys needed little persuasion to enter into the spirit of the day too!
Money raised will help the charity contribute towards invaluable research (it currently supports 101 research projects in 34 centres of excellence across the UK and Ireland) to help save and improve lives, and ultimately find a cure for breast cancer.
It’s not just ‘pink’ that COBA has been supporting too. Staff recently wore blue (this time denim!) to support Jeans for Genes Day, another fantastic charity helping children with genetic disorders. We raised £61.
It was a fun and simple way to support two serious campaigns. Thank you to everyone who donated.
