COBA was delighted once again to have been invited to enter a team for the annual Cooper Parry Corporate Challenge in Nottingham. The Half Marathon relay took place in delightful settings with a total of almost 11,000 running in the main event, including 1,145 in the mini-marathon.

Ever thankful for a blistering start, the COBA team came in, in a time of 1 hour 35 minutes, a record 2nd place out of the 37 teams that took part. Ian Jarrams (who ran leg 1) continued to run the complete half marathon in a staggering time of 1 hour 33 minutes – this being his first ever long distance run and a remarkable personal achievement.
Two main charities. Leukaemia Lymphoma Research and Treetops Hospice. were the main beneficiaries for all the funds from the day for which a total of approximately £15,000 was raised by the Corporate Challenge Teams.
